News Release -- The Dr. Slick Company July 24, 2000 Instruments for Anglers DR. SLICK TOOLS EXPANDS, MOVES TO NEW BUILDING BELGRADE, MT - Dr. Slick Instruments for Anglers - importers and manufacturers of fly fishing and fly tying tools and accessories - will move to a nearly 3,000-square foot remodeled commercial building not far from the Bozeman airport effective Sept. 1, announced Kenneth A. High, M.D., president. The new Dr. Slick headquarters is located at 5616 Jackrabbit Lane, Belgrade, Mont., 59714; toll-free numbers remain the same: phone 800/462-4474, fax 800/420-2468; new phone is 406/388-8109, fax 406/388-8114. E-mail drslick@mcn.net The Belgrade facility replaces the former Dr. Slick quarters in Dillon, Mont., adjacent to Dr. High's urology medical practice. "With some 200 separate items and an inventory of tens of thousands, the previous space simply became inadequate," said Steve Fournier, director of sales and marketing. Founded in the late 1980s, this is Dr. Slick's third expansion move. The new Jackrabbit Lane site - not far from Interstate 90 - features state-of-the art shipping, receiving, storage and quality control with a fully-computerized inventory system. "With each pair of scissors and clamp (hemostat) undergoing a seven-step inspection process, it was necessary to enlarge our quality control center to accommodate our volume," said Fournier. Dr. Slick is expected to add 3 to 5 full- or part-time employees. For additional information, contact The Dr. Slick Co.
