The Fly Fishing Hall of Fame

Please mark your calendar for Saturday, October 20, 2001. The Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum will be holding their Third Annual Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Reception from 4:00-6:00 PM at the Museum in Livingston Manor, NY. This year the following individuals have been elected by the Selection Committee for induction:

Poul Jorgensen Lefty Kreh Alfred Miller (Sparse Grey Hackle)

The event, with Master of Ceremonies, Paul Shultz, is open to CFFC&M members as well as the public for a donation of $25.00. Following the Induction Ceremony there will be a cocktail reception in the Museum.

The Fly Fishing Hall of Fame was established at the Museum in 1985 as a way to honor and remember the "greats" in fly fishing history. Previous inductees elected by the Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum include: Theodore Gordon, Art Flick, Leon Chandler, John McDonald, George LaBranche, Edward Hewitt, Roy Steenrod, Reuben Cross, Herman Christian, Al McClane, Lee and Joan Wulff, Harry and Elsie Darbee, and Winnie and Walt Dette, George Harvey, Vincent C. Marinaro, Charles K. Fox, and William Chandler.
